Japanese Woodworking Meet-up

    I recently met a guy named Manny Romain (503-705-4066) who was part of a group called KEZUROU-KAI that focuses on Japanese woodworking.  It started in the Bay Area and has a small group meeting here. The group is famous for a competition on making micro thick shavings with wide pull planes. They seem to focus a lot of traditional post and beam framing.

    They have an upcoming meeting April 19th at the Rebuilding Center Work Shop, 3625 N Mississippi Ave from 2:00 - 5:30 PM.  The topic is pull saw techniques.

    This is FYI.  I know nothing else, just passing on what seemed like an interesting possibility.
