Special Interest Groups are a subset of members, focused on a particular subject area. They hold free meetings on a monthly basis and have discussions and hands-on demonstrations. Five groups currently exist: Carving SIG - The Carving SIG is a forum for the discussion, demonstration and education about Carving. Hand Tool SIG - The Hand Tool SIG is a forum for the discussion, demonstration and education about woodworking using hand tools including chisels, planes, saws, etc. Women’s SIG - The Women’s Special Interest Group (SIG) holds free events the first Thursday of the month to build skills, projects, and friendships. Women members of all skill levels are invited to learn from each other and expert guests as they collaborate on wood projects. See the Education Calendar for details. Box SIG - The Box SIG meets the first Thursday of the month and one can register on the Calendar. As the name implies, this SIG is devoted to the making of all manner of boxes.
