I recently made/finished a live edge walnut clock & made a cardinal sin = drilled the 4” hole too big. I’m thinking of getting a wood turner to cut a thin walnut ring which could be face mounted on the base for the correct hole size & hide my cut. Any other ideas- brass ring, etc? I don’t want to fabricate a square mounting piece as my base is irregular.
