This is one of the largest fine arts show in the country.  Located in the beautiful Portland Parks Block, it is one of Portland’s most popular events.  The Guild has a demonstration booth where we promote the art of woodworking to the public with interactive demonstrations and displays.  It is also a chance to recruit new members. 

We are seeking volunteers to staff the Guild’s 10’ x 20’ booth on Labor Day Weekend Saturday, Sunday and Monday August 31st, September 1st & 2nd from 10:00-6:00 (4:00 on Monday).  No special skills needed other than the ability to interact with people, explain the Guild and tell people why you love woodworking.

We need 3 people/shift for the Hand Plane Demo making cedar sachets (and can teach you how to do this). If you have carving or CNC skills, we would love to have your help in those areas. 

Please plan to show up 30 minutes early if at all possible to help setup and transition. 

 Location: Pearl District - North Park Blocks

Our booth is D8 and is on NW Flanders between NW 8th and NW Park Ave.
