Chess Board, walnut and maple
  • Maple and Walnut chess boards with an Oak drawers. One board is convectional squares, turn it over and the other side has curvy squares. I make one for myself and one for my Grandson.
  • Tic Tax Toe box with continuous white oak wrapped grain, walnut top and keys. Sitting on a birch charcuterie board with a shop made locust, holly, and bloodwood inlay
  • When the lid is rotated the drawers pop out!, made of hemlock and walnut
  • the curly maple for this little box was from the stump of a big leaf maple tree. wooden hinge and walnut keys
  • a production run of coffee grinders made form madrone. I gave them to my sailing buddies at the end of the season.
  • My sister asked me to make an urn for my brother-in-law, this is what I came up with. Each one is made from the center cutout of the one bigger than it.
  • One of the first boxes I made, the corners are connected with biscuit joinery. I gave it to a friend for a house warming gift, I enjoy seeing it on the shelf in his living room.
  • A batch of small boxes I made as gifts for my wife's family when we visited them in Germany. Made of cherry, box joints with mitered top corners and pyramid sides cut on the bandsaw.
  • joining the tops to the side on the chess boards with biscuit joinery, so far they're still on there.
  • The oak drawers for the chess boards are ready for assembly.
  • These ring boxes were some of my first projects, I made about 20 of them, I still have a few of them left for those special wedding presents.
  • Cherry and Maple ring box
  • A tool tote coming out of the finish room made from Big Leaf maple. Also purple heart salt and pepper mills almost ready to added the hardware.
  • These bandsaw boxes are Myrtle wood, Walnut, and mystery wood in the center. I got the patterns and instructions from The new bandsaw book by David Picciuto. I flocked the drawers.
  • These mood lights have Harbor Freight flash lights inside, the agates give off a nice glow. Made from Plum and Holly wood I milled from trees from my Son-Laws had removed from his office property.
  • A batch of coffee mills being made from Madrone, I gave them to my sailing buddies at the end of the racing season.
  • A Black Locust Urn with Walnut keys made for my Uncle Dan, We had the same name. He taught me many things: including carpentry, Logging, auto mechanics, driving tractors, horsemanship, work ethic, ect
  • These are the boxes I build at the Doug Stowe masters class at the guild. It a two day class and super fun.
  • Cutting the slots for the keys with the PantoRouter on the Locust Urn.
  • An Oregon White Oak Urn for my Mother, a Black Locust Urn for My Uncle, and Bloodwood memorial hearts for my Son's Dog Buster, in the finish room. That was a tough time.
  • A chest for my Grandson, he keep some costumes in it. It's walnut and oak, joined at the corners with biscuit joinery.
  • A chest for my Grandson with an inlay of a sailboat and lighthouse. The inlay is tell the story about the ship and the lighthouse with the moral of the story being: don't make assumptions.
  • I gave this bandsaw box to a friend for his birthday and he ended up keeping his Grandfathers pocket watches in it. The handles are attached with dowels
