Hey Gang,
Posting on behalf of a non member who walked into the shop asking to donate this, which we wouldn't take but I offered to put up here in hope of catching the eye of an Old Tool Guy.
We have here a Delta Rockwell 34-400 Table saw, all cast iron; The year was 1963, American industrial manufacturing was the envy of the world and planned obsolesce wasn't even a twinkle in a CEOs eye. We built to last and we built for life out of steel chrome and cast iron.
The 34-400 saw is a perfect example of that, and ready to give another several generations of use, the motor mount plate is the size of a park bench, with plenty of room for a VERY easy motor upgrade.
Seems cherry but for light surface rust and DOES run. Tilting arbor 10 inch, rack and pinion fence (Nice!). I believe the guard is also in the shopmade under-stand wood crate
Comes with - Original steel Delta Mobile Base, Steel miter gauge (BEEFY), dado & regular throat plates, manual, and a VERY old style dado wobble wheel (use at your own risk)
Motor is an 18Y frame, 1HP (back when 1hp actually meant 1HP) wired for 115 @ 13 amp, begging for a v belt upgrade
This saw is free to a good home in need of a stout dependable user
