I’ve been a woodworker all my life, early years more dedicated to carpentry. A few early furniture projects turned out well, I’m not sure why other than attention to detail. Since 2004 when I joined the Guild, teaching classes, participating in projects and building things has expanded my skills enormously. Today I would undertake any project. My education and skill has evolved almost exclusively through “making sawdust”, literally building and learning from mistakes.
People consider me a router expert, and it probably is my favorite tool, but I am skilled with any tool in the shop. I enjoy all aspects of woodworking, from furniture to lutherie. Projects completed include a complex bedroom set, a violin, grand display cases, and collectible wooden models, almost anything that can be done in woodworking. Several pieces have won ribbons at various art shows.
